What is the Workers’ Compensation Meaning?

What Is Not Covered under Workmen's Compensation Insurance

Injuries Due to Negligence or Misconduct

The policy doesn’t cover any injuries caused by alcohol or drug consumption, violation of safety protocols, or intentional removal of safety equipment.

Accidents Outside the Workplace

Injuries occurring outside the work premises are excluded unless the employee was performing official duties at the time.

Contractor and Sub-Contractor Employee Injuries

The policy does not cover injuries to employees hired through contractors or sub-contractors unless explicitly stated in the policy schedule.

Injuries to Undeclared Employees

Employees who are not listed in the or are not eligible for the Workers Compensation Act or policy terms are not covered.

Minor Injuries

Injuries that do not result in disability for more than three days, along with certain medical treatment costs, are generally excluded unless specifically covered.

Injuries Due to War & Civil Disturbance

Any injury, illness, or loss caused by war, enemy action, rebellion, civil unrest, or military operations is not covered under the policy.
